Maidenhead United have bolstered their defensive ranks in the Vanarama National League with the signing of defender Kevin Lokko.
The news was confirmed in a statement on the club website which highlighted Lokko’s leadership skills: “Playing as centre-back predominantly, Lokko has taken on the captaincy role at his previous clubs and believes his experience and leadership qualities will benefit the Magpies, with over 20 goals in all competitions to his name.”
The 27-year-old centre-back was most recently with Farnborough making 45 appearances in the Vanarama National League South where he spent a season after transferring from Aldershot.
Lokko’s career began with Norwich City’s Academy and won the FA Youth Cup in 2012/13 before he joined Colchester United.
The defender has also played for Dover Athletic, Maidstone United and Harrogate Town.
Maidenhead have seen two big names depart already this summer with Adrian Clifton and Ryan Upward confirming moves, but academy prospect Christian Johnson has been snapped up after an impressive season with Holyport.
