It’s been a busy week at Arbour Park with several changes to Slough Town’s playing staff including a high-profile return for Dan Roberts and the departure of goalkeeper Jonathan North.
Roberts return is a one-month loan from Vanarama National League South rivals Dartford. It fills a gap created by Elliot Benyon’s injury and the departure of James Dobson who has left the Rebels in search of more regular football.
Writing on the clubs official website, Jon Underwood said of Roberts return: “Dan is obviously well-known to the Rebels fans from his previous time at the club and with his game time being limited at the start of the season, and with Elliot Benyon injured, this represents a good opportunity for him and us.”
Roberts has played in both Slough games since returning to the club, the 1-1 draw at Braintree Town and the 1-0 win at Chippenham Town to make it 58 Rebels appearances.
On North’s departure, joint-manager Neil Baker said: “It was agreed that ‘Northy’ at this stage of his career wants to be playing first team football, and at present we can’t guarantee this.”
North played 48 times for Slough after joining from Wealdstone in the summer of 2021.
