Vanarama National League Maidenhead United have re-signed forward Adrian Clifton for a third spell at York Road.

The Montserratian international returns to the Magpies after three seasons away with Boreham Wood, Bromley and Dagenham & Redbridge.

The striker – who’s youth career took in spells with Norwich City, Arsenal and West Ham United – played 42 times for Boreham Wood last season scoring three goals, two of those coming in FA Cup ties against St Albans City and AFC Wimbledon.

During his previous spell with Maidenhead, Clifton played 40 times in the 2018/19 season scoring 19 goals.

According to the Maidenhead Advertiser: “In this first spell, he helped the Magpies lift their first Berks & Bucks Senior Cup in four years, notably scoring in the competition’s final, a 4-0 win over Aylesbury United.”
