Vanarama National League South Hungerford Town have sealed the return of one of Berkshire’s most popular footballers.

Midfielder Harrison Bayley will be back at Bulpit Lane after a season away from the club with both Beaconsfield Town and Hartley Wintney last season. He initially joined Danny Robinson’s Crusaders from Marlow during the 2020/21 season.

32-year-old Bayley will be joined at Bulpit Lane next season by at least two other former Marlow teammates in midfielder Junaid Bell and attacker Kamaron English joining the Step 2 side.

Speaking to the Maidenhead Advertiser, Bell said: “Next chapter, can’t wait to get started. Thanks to Mark Bartley for giving me my first opportunity in non-league six years ago where I’ve been ever since.”

Hungerford have also confirmed the signing of striker Leighton Thomas from Paulton Rovers and the re-signing of goalkeeper Matty Crowther.
