Former Windsor and Slough Town striker Dan Roberts has confirmed an extension to his stay with Vanarama National League South side Dartford.
The Kent side recently appointed former Woking boss Alan Dowson as their new manager following Steve King’s departure and one of his first jobs it seems was retaining the services of the Berkshire goalscorer.
Roberts played 20 times for promotion-chasing Dartford last season but was sent out on loan to Carshalton Athletic in February with then boss King saying: “Me and Dan had a chat and we felt it was best he went out to get some games. He’s only scored twice which was on the opening day. He is highly thought of by other clubs and me, I’ve never had so much interest in one player but he is going to a good club in Carshalton for one month.”
The striker initially came through the ranks at Bracknell Town, but came to prominence with 25 goals in just over 30 games for Windsor in 2018/19, catching the eye of Slough Town bosses Neil Baker and Jon Underwood.
