Vanarama National League South side Slough Town have bolstered their squad ahead of the competition’s transfer deadline day on Thursday afternoon.

The Rebels are mounting a late push for promotion via the play-offs with the seventh spot looking enticing to all the clubs from eighth down to at least 13th – Slough are in 12th, just five points off Dulwich Hamlet in seventh.

Slough have recently seen a couple of departures from Arbour Park including Mark Nisbet to Farnborough and Max Worsfold to Leatherhead – but have moved quickly to bolster the squad with nine games to go as well as recently extending the load of Tyler Goodrham.

Jon Underwood and Neil Baker confirmed via the clubs official website that 20-year-old central defender Joe Dandy from Bognor Regis Town, 20-year-old central midfielder Leon Chambers-Parillon on loan from Oxford United as well as 18-year-old striker James Beauchamp from Hartley Wintney while Alfie Anderson and Ben Mulley have both signed National League forms after impressing for the clubs under 23s.

Beauchamp is currently on loan at Isthmian League Binfield from Hartley Wintney and will remain with the Moles until the end of the season. Baker said: “We have also signed promising 18-year-old striker James Beauchamp from Hartley Wintney. He has predominantly been part of their U23 team, which was where he first came to our attention playing against our U23s last season. He has had two spells on a dual registration with Fleet Town at Step 5 and now at Step 4 with Binfield, both of which he has excelled in. Following a 7 day approach to Hartley Wintney we made the move to bring him to the club. He will stay with Binfield until the end of the season where he will continue his development under Jamie McClurg and Carl Withers, however, with their season finishing before ours he will come back to us for the final week or two ahead of next season.”
