Vanarama National League South side Slough Town have confirmed the departure of long-serving defender Mark Nisbet to Farnborough.
The Pitching In Southern League Premier South play-off hopefuls have snapped up the defender following a seven-day approach to the Rebels by the Hampshire side.
Writing on the club’s official website, co-manager Jon Underwood said: “We’ve had some very honest conversations with Nis in recent weeks about his future with the club, where we saw him now and with next season in mind, and although we did not want him to leave at this moment he is a non-contract player and was free to make that decision.”
Nisbet, previously with Maidenhead United and still involved with the clubs Community scheme, made 187 appearances for Slough after joining in 2016, scoring eight goals.
The defender has spent the majority of his career split between the Rebels and the Magpies but also had spells with Flackwell Heath, Burnham and Beaconsfield Town.
Neil Baker wrote on Twitter: “Thanks to Nis for his service to us and the club! A loyal person and has been a top defender for us! Wish him all the best Farnborough.”
Nis-less Slough face a challenging away day at Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday while the defender could make his Farnborough debut at Cherrywood Road against Weston-super-Mare. All the Berkshire club fixtures for Saturday are here.
