Slough Town have confirmed long-serving defender Guy Hollis has departed the Vanarama National League South side.
Hollis made 375 appearances for the Rebels after joining in 2013 with new joint managers Jon Underwood and Neil Baker, who brought him with them from Godalming Town.
The defender won two promotions with the Rebels during his time at the club and a slew of individual awards with 2015/16 proving a particularly fruitful year.
A statement made on the Slough Town website by Baker said: “Guy has been a big part of our success as managers over the last 11 years and we can only thank him for his contribution in helping achieve this. We will remember him coming to us at Godalming Town as a 19-year-old right-back, and developing into an experienced no-nonsense centre half.
“It goes without saying that we did our best to try and keep Guy at the club, however a change in his circumstances, and the financial offer in place for him was something that he could not turn down, and for that reason he goes with our best wishes.”
Hollis joins Paul Doswell’s Hawks side who sit two points above Slough in the National League South table. He’ll likely face his old club for the first time when Havant head to Arbour Park on the 26th February.
