Popular former Slough Town midfielder Scott Davies has confirmed his next move, joining Southern League Premier Division Central side Biggleswade Town.

32-year-old Davies will join the Waders management team of Chris Nunn and Russell Short for the 2020/21 season as well as continue in a playing role.

Davies, well regarded at Arbour Park where he played 81 games since joining in 2018, came through the ranks at Football League side Reading FC and had loan spells at Aldershot Town, Wycombe Wanderers and Bristol Rovers among others.

On joining the club, Davies said: “Big thanks to Chris Nunn for giving me a fantastic opportunity to be working alongside him and Russell Short this coming season. I’m massively looking forward to it! Lets go.”

Davies confirmed his departure from Slough alongside George Wells, Manny Williams and Simon Dunn at the end of July with former boss Neil Baker saying: “Some brilliant times! A top top man who I will miss having around the place.”

As well as an ex-pro and popular figure at Arbour Park, Davies is also a fine scorer of long range goals, something we’re sure Waders fans will hope he can replicate at the Carlsberg Stadium.
