Vanarama National League Maidenhead United will go into the 2020/21 season with a new striker in the shape of 6’2″ Danilo Orsi-Dadomo.

Alan Devonshire’s new forward joins from the Magpies boss’ former club Hampton & Richmond Borough where he scored 15 goals in 36 games for the National League South side and was named Fans Player of the Year at the Beveree.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a spell with Hungerford Town prior to joining the Beavers in the summer of 2019 where he helped the Crusaders successfully avoid relegation at the end of the 2018/19 season.

News of the strikers departure from Hampton was confirmed on Monday on the club website with manager Gary McCann saying that while he was disappointed to lose the player, making the step up wasn’t an issue: “A player wanting to progress is never personal and we wish Danilo all the best and hope it goes very well for him next season”.

Lee Devonshire, Maidenhead’s Chief Scout said of the new signing: “He is a hard-working centre-forward who is very composed in front of goal with a great attitude and another who wants to kick on in his career. We hope to give him the platform to do that and we look forward to working with him.”

Orsi-Dadomo is the Magpies second signing in as many days as manager Devonshire looks to rebuild his squad following some key departures at the end of the season. Winger Josh Coley was announced on Tuesday night.
