Former Bracknell Town midfielder George Short has joined Binfield, Moles manager Roger Herridge revealed.

The central midfielder will join former Robins team mates Jamie McClurg, Damien Smith and Carl Withers at Hill Farm Lane.

Herridge revealed the new signing in his programme notes ahead of Monday nights Bluefin Sport Hellenic League Challenge Cup tie with Chalvey Sports which Binfield won 6-1 after going a goal behind.

Short had been playing for Winchester City in the Southern League this season and featured in a pre season friendly at his former club Bracknell in the summer.

The Moles boss also confirmed in his notes that Matt Deadfield and Johnny Hathaway had departed the club while centre back Carl Davies recently rejoined Bracknell Town.

Binfield travel to Tuffley Rovers on Saturday in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division having recovered from a first defeat of the season to leaders Westfields by winning their last two games.
