Bracknell Town midfielder Ash Artwell has been included in Marlow’s BetVictor Isthmian League South Central squad list released on Friday.

Artwell impressed in spells for Bracknell last season, particularly in the Velocity Trophy Quarter Finals when he scored twice as the Robins beat Folkestone Invicta 4-1 and was labelled unplayable by Bracknell supporters.

The midfielder often found himself behind Joe Grant and Seb Bowerman though in the pecking order at Larges Lane and now Marlow boss Mark Bartley has finally got his man.

Writing on the Marlow website, ‘Barts’ said: “After trying to sign Ashleigh for the last 3 seasons, I’m delighted to say that I finally have my man as he signs for us from last seasons playoff rivals Bracknell Town.  Technically proficient and with a great natural physicality, he has been a key acquisition for us.”

In addition to Artwell, Marlow have signed up former Thatcham Town goalkeeper Chris Rackley after a short spell at Basingstoke Town along with Jordan Brown, who midway through last season swapped Marlow for Bracknell.

On Sunday, Marlow confirmed the addition of Bracknell defender Elliott Legg.
