Maidenhead United winger Sam Barratt has made a one month loan move to Ryman League Premier Division side Staines Town.

The Swans are managed by former Magpies boss Johnson Hippolyte – the man who took Barratt to Maidenhead from Bracknell Town – in order to get some much needed game time.

Staines are currently 13th of 24 in the Ryman Premier having won eight, drawn four and lost 10 of their 22 games so far this season.

Barratt was recently featured on SoccerAM after taking a free-kick against Wealdstone in FA Trophy that was headed away by a supporter and spoke to the Berks & Bucks FA website recently about his desire to pursue a professional football career.

Sam – who was on trial with Bristol Rovers in the summer – said in the interview when asked for his advice to youngsters playing grassroots football: “The most important thing for any kid is to be playing games, I cant even explain how much 90 odd games playing for Bracknell did. It took my game up so many levels.”
