Midfielder Carl Withers is the latest signing for Bracknell Town with the new season less than a month away.

The FA Cup and FA Vase draws on Friday bring that into sharp focus with the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League season starting on the 1st August, and the first round of Cup ties taking place on Saturday 6th August.

Withers addition to the squad is one of experience having played over 400 times for local rivals Binfield. The former Hill Farm Lane captain had a spell at Flackwell Heath last season before returning to the Moles and joins Ascot United quintet Lee Boon, Dave Hancock, 22 goal striker Jo Grant and goalkeeper Chris Grace at Bracknell.

Division 1 East Wokingham & Emmbrook have been busy themselves, retaining a number of important players including Elliott Rushforth and Sam Whiting while Binfield themselves have held on to captain Alex Luis amongst a slew of announcements on Friday afternoon.

Keep up with all the player announcements as we get them on our dedicated page here.

Update: This article previously stated that Carl Withers had played at Burnham under Mark Tallentire, this has been corrected to say Flackwell Heath.
