Will Day and Sam Whiting to stay with Wokingham & Emmbrook

New Wokingham & Emmbrook boss Clive McNelly has announced that club captain Will Day and midfielder Sam Whiting will both remain with the club as he plots an instant return to the Hellenic Premier League this season.

Day played 41 times for the Sumas last season but was unable to stop their relegation back to Division 1 East of the Hellenic League, while Whiting featured 16 times.

McNelly – who was appointed first team boss to replace the departing Dan Bateman and Matt Eggleston  also confirmed the following players from the 2015/16 season had signed forms and would be returning: Dan Carter, Jake Wheeler, George Parsons, Jordan Greenough, Thomas McNelly, Michael Flatman, Sam Bateman and Craig Haylett.
