Finchampstead cement top spot, Wargrave taking to TVPL Premier like duck to water

Finchampstead 3 Maidenhead Town 1

Finch consolidated their top spot with the fifth victory of the season on Saturday at Memorial Park. Goals from Nick and James Payne and another from Callum Vallance handed the home club victory while John Swift got his fourth of the season for Maidenhead.

Mortimer 0 Yateley United 6

A day to forget for the Villagers who were soundly beaten by Yateley United by six goals to nil. United are now in fourth place and are only behind Finchampstead, Burghfield and Maidenhead Town in the table. Charlie Wilcox (2), Myles White, Bradley Bolton, Conor Fitz and Rory Fitz were the goalscorers for Yateley.

Reading YMCA 1 Burghfield 2

Burghfield visited The Cauldron in Padworth on Saturday and came away with all three points. A James McClellan strike and a late Jack Bowyer goal gave Burghfield the win. YMCA’s goal was scored by Michael Holder.

Wargrave 6 Reading City U23 2

Wargrave continued their excellent start to the season with a comprehensive victory over Reading City U23s. Wargrave have adapted to Premier Division football very quickly and will look to continue their great run when they visit Woodley next weekend.

Woodley United Royals 0 Windlesham & Chobham 4

Woodley United Royals remained rooted to the bottom of the Premier Division table and endured another miserable afternoon at Bulmershe Pavilion. Windlesham & Chobham scored four goals from Michael Bertoux, John Kehinde, Connor Jones and Sam Roberts.
