Maidenhead United were hoping to put last weekend’s 2-0 defeat at Altrincham behind them when they made the trip to Eastleigh on Saturday.

And that’s exactly what they did, clinching their sixth win of the season as they beat the Spitfires 1-0 at the Silverlake Stadium.

Recent signing Alex Addai netted the only goal of the game early into the second half, making an immediate impact on his first start in a Magpies shirt.

Maidenhead were dealt a blow late on though as Josh Coley, who has hugely impressed so far this season, received a straight red in stoppage time.

However, the Magpies, who were once again lead by Ryan Peters, managed to hold on and clinch another three points to take them back up to fourth.

Attentions now turn to Tuesday night as they face a tough trip to table toppers Torquay United.

Hungerford Town suffer third straight defeat

Hungerford Town weren’t able to reward their returning supporters with a victory as they welcomed Dulwich Hamlet to Bulpit Lane on Saturday.

It proved to be the Crusaders third home game in a week as they aimed to return to winning ways following two consecutive defeats.

The visitors broke the dead-lock with five minutes of the first half remaining as Andre Blackman’s cross deflected into the top corner.

Dulwich didn’t take long to double their lead after the break after Danny Mills was brought down in the box. Sanchez Ming stepped up to take the resulting penalty and after his initial effort was saved, he was able to convert the rebound.

The visitors made it three late on through substitute Tyrique Hyde who finished off a Dulwich counter attack.

Hungerford dropped down to sixth as they look ahead to Saturday’s trip to Hemel Hempstead.

Slough Town share the points at Chippenham

Slough Town played their first match in two weeks this weekend as they travelled to Hardenhuish Park to take on Chippenham Town on Saturday.

After a stalemate first period, the visitors opened the scoring just past the hour mark through former EFL forward Chris Zebroski.

One became two soon after when Joe Hanks slotted the ball past Jack Turner to double the hosts’ advantage.

Ben Harris pulled one back for Slough on 76 minutes though after heading home from a corner.

The comeback was completed late on thanks to Lee Togwell, who got a slight touch to direct Guy Hollis’ throw into the back of the Chippenham net.

The Rebels are back in action on Wednesday as they face another trip, this time to Havant & Waterlooville.
