Maidenhead United had to battle back twice on Saturday in the Vanarama National League at Notts County but a double from Sam Barratt and a first goal for Danilo Orsi-Dadamo ensured the Southern Magpies took all three points at Meadow Lane.

Jimmy Knowles scored after three minutes for County in what looked like being a long afternoon for Alan Devonshire’s side, but when Barratt equalised twice on 14 and 64 minutes after Ruben Rodrigues’s 29th minute goal it was all to play for.

New Maidenhead forward, Orsi-Dadamo, signed in the summer from Hampton & Richmond Borough, stepped up with the winner with 15 minutes to go and midweek hero Josh Coley could have made it safe a few minutes later.

Barratt now has four goals this season to his name after returning to York Road from Southend United.

In the National League South, a goal-fest at Slough Town saw the Rebels share eight goals with Welling United, two coming in a dramatic few minutes of injury time to earn a point.

Stafan Ilic, a double from Dipo Akinyemi and one for Anthony Cook gave Welling four goals in 51 minutes with a Ryan Bird goal on 22 minutes the only thing the Rebels had to show for their efforts.

The fightback began when Matty Lench made it 4-2 with 20 minutes to go from Max Worsfold’s delivery and Worsfold, along with Warren Harris got the injury time goals to take an unlikely point at Arbour Park.

Elsewhere, the Hungerford Town train keeps rolling with three straight wins and zero goals conceded as a Ryan Seager strike earned a 1-0 win over Concord Rangers at Bulpit Lane.

There was some concern for Crusaders striker Kyle Tooze, the game was delayed considerably while the forward received treatment in the second half but an update from the man himself revealed it was concussion, rather than anything more serious. Tooze though will be out for at least two weeks according to the club.
