Ascot United’s 2019/20 Emirates FA Cup run has ended at the first hurdle after an Extra Preliminary Round defeat at Badshot Lea.

The Yellamen had held a 2-0 lead on Saturday in the first game before being pegged back, and they scored first in the replay as well when Harry Laflin converted a rebound after Louis Bouwers header had been saved.

Ascot led 1-0 at half time but two second half goals saw Badshot take a 2-1 win and withstand some late pressure.

The draw for the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup is here.

Elsewhere, there was a first point of the season for Slough Town as they held Weymouth to a 1-1 draw in the Vanarama National League South.

The Rebels again conceded an early goal but restored parity when Ben Harris levelled from the penalty spot after Matt Lench had been fouled.

The game saw a first start of the season for Dan Roberts after his suspension ended but Neil Baker and Jon Underwood will have another player missing after substitute Francis Amartey was sent off.

Also in the National League South, Hungerford Town suffered a 2-1 defeat at Bath City with Kofi Halliday scoring a late consolation for Ian Herring’s side.

Maidenhead United enjoyed the coach trip home from Torquay United after a 2-0 win on the English Riviera. Josh Kelly opened the scoring before half time and Shamir Fenelon scored in second half injury time to send the Magpies home happy.
