Holyport and AFC Aldermaston have qualified for the knockout stages of the Hellenic League Subsidiary Cup after Woodley United beat Wokingham & Emmbrook in the final Group B game on Tuesday night.

Woodley led 2-0 thanks to a double from Max Laschok in the first half, the second of his brace being from the penalty spot.

Youngster Josh Harris pulled one back for Wokingham in the second half as the Sumas pushed for an equaliser, both Joe Cummuskey and Ben Broadhurst going close, but that’s not to say Woodley didn’t have chances with Sumas goalkeeper Sean Woodward well tested.

So what does this all mean? AFC Aldermaston finish second and move on to host Abingdon Town in the knockout stage while Holyport await the outcome of a final group game between Chalvey Sports and Chinnor. The full knockout draw is here.
