Pre season continued on Saturday afternoon with plenty of action across the county including a high profile visit for Windsor from National League side Maidenhead United.

Managerless Windsor scored first from the penalty spot with Jamie Di Guiseppe converting against the side four divisions higher in the Non League Pyramid but Alan Devonshire’s side soon restored parity and led 3-1 at the break.

Maidenhead then led 4-1 before Rob Lazarczuk (pictured) – back from Ascot United it would seem, made it 4-2, only for the visitors to score twice more to win 6-2.

Elsewhere Binfield were beaten 2-0 at Southern League side Highworth Town, the Moles twitter reported that three of last seasons Allied Counties side – Jamie Griggs, Joel Valentin and Callum Wright were involved in the squad.

Over in North Hampshire Ascot United drew 3-3 with Ash United while Reading City won 4-1 at home against Combined Counties League side Eversley & California and Berks County beat Bagshot 3-1.

Of the other fixtures, we haven’t seen scores from Sandhurst Town’s Bristol away day, nor Wokingham & Emmbrook’s result though we know their scorers were Jake White, Connor Holland (2), James Clark and Elliott Rushforth in their game against Frimley Green.

All the results from Saturday’s fixtures:

  • Ash United 3-3 Ascot United
  • Berks County 3-1 Bagshot
  • Highworth Town 2-0 Binfield
  • Longwell Green vs Sandhurst Town (Sandhurst played two squads in two games, winning 2-0 and losing 2-1)
  • Reading City 4-1 Eversley & California
  • Sheerwater 5-3 Woodley United
  • Windsor 2-6 Maidenhead United
  • Wokingham & Emmbrook 5-1 Frimley Green
