Pre season continued this week with several Saturday matches moved to earlier kick-offs to accommodate the England World Cup Quarter Final.

Unfortunately, two matches were cancelled – Berks County vs Woodley United unable to find a venue for earlier KO and Chalvey Sports vs Windsor due to Windsor manager Mick Woodham resigning on Friday.

Both Binfield  and Reading City got their pre season campaigns under way with large victories. The Moles defeated AFC Aldermaston 7-0 whilst Reading City beat Wokingham & Emmbrook 8-0.

Ascot United played twice losing to Cookham Dean on Wednesday night but they recovered from 2-1 down to beat Camberley Town 3-2 on Saturday. Interestingly the sides drew each other in the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round so hopefully the Yellamen can repeat the result then.

Sandhurst Town recorded a good 2-1 victory over Evo-Stik Southern League side Marlow with Charlie Oakley and new signing Ashley Ledger getting their goals.

Bracknell Town entertained Harrow Borough but fell to a 2-0 loss.

Results from Wednesday 4th July:

  • Cookham Dean 1-0 Ascot United

Results from Saturday 7th July:

  • AFC Aldermaston 0-7 Binfield
  • Ascot United 3-2 Camberley Town
  • Berks County P-P Woodley United
  • Bracknell Town 0-2 Harrow Borough
  • Chalvey Sports P-P Windsor
  • Reading City 8-0 Wokingham & Emmbrook
  • Sandhurst Town 2-1 Marlow

Please note, due to clubs playing a number of trialists in matches we don’t report pre-season goalscorers unless the clubs themselves have done so themselves. For a full list of pre-season fixtures this summer, visit our fixture list here.
