Vanarama National League Maidenhead United face a defining weekend as they battle to avoid the drop.

The Magpies travel to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday and would leap-frog their hosts in with a win, but survival and a ninth season in the top-tier of Non-League football remains on a knife edge.

Woking in 18th, Wealdstone, Dagenham, Boston United, AFC Fylde and Maidenhead are all in the mix for one of three remaining relegation places after Ebbsfleet United were officially relegated.

Just four points separates those six teams with Maidenhead facing games against all the sides they are fighting against in the remaining seven games of the season.

Alan Devonshire’s side have shown they can mix it with the best teams in the division this season, having beaten the likes of play-off chasing Oldham Athletic and Gateshead this season while earning a valuable point against Rochdale – but the biggest test of the side is about to begin.
