With seven Berkshire sides in action, on Saturday 17th of August, in the 2024/25 Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round, we expected a bumper round of progress from the teams and they certainly didn’t disappoint with three win, two losses and a replay pending for our squads.

Ascot United made a shock exit against fellow Berkshire side Virginia Water in a last gasp winner for The Waters as Jack Mills hammered home a strike to make it 2-1 at Arbour Park. Meanwhile, Sandhurst Town went down 3-0 to fellow Combined Counties outfit Harefield United with a penalty denied in the first half. Thatcham Town fell foul to Andover New Street at home despite leading inside ten minutes, but the visitors hit back quick by the half hour mark to secure the victory.
