England call for Maidenhead United and Slough Town players

Maidenhead United and Slough Town players have been selected for the latest England C squad.

Zico Asare (Maidenhead) and Johnny Goddard (Slough) have been rewarded for impressive season’s with a call up to England’s friendly with Nepal at Aldershot Town.

The match is scheduled for Bank Holiday Monday 6th May (3pm) at the EBB Stadium.

Goddard in particular has been in imperious form as Slough made a late run for the National League play-offs, scoring 19 goals in the process.

Asare meanwhile has been pivotal in the Magpies defence, helping the club to National League safety with games to spare. Maidenhead’s Sam Beckwith is on the England squads standby list.

Reece Smith starred for England in the last international against Wales this season, but is not in the squad this time around.
