Football in Berkshire’s Team of the Month for September is Windsor & Eton FC.
The Thames Valley Premier League club won each of its five games to take the accolade after an excellent debut season so far. Matching their 100% record in September was Ascot United Women who were second in our table by virtue of a slimmer goal difference accrued over just the three games played last month.
Mortimer, Maidenhead Town and Berks County made up the top five, respectively, with Town hitting the most goals last month, helped in no small part by their 13-0 trouncing of Hurst in a cup competition halfway through the month.

At the other end of the table, Binfield and Chalvey Sports had the worst goal difference of -18 in a miserable month for the duo, with the latter still to pick up a point, as is also the case for Caversham United Women, Eversley & California Women and Wargrave. Here’s hoping their seasons pick up soon!
