The Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 is set to kick off from the 20th July to the 20th August. The Reading Women squad is rich with internationals and we’re set to see five of them feature on the world stage this summer.
Canada
Deanne Rose spent much of the 2022/23 season out injured with a knee injury but featured in the final two games and as a result has been called up to the national team.

Sanne Troelsgaard has spent 15 years as a Red & White where she sits in a more 10 role, Kelly Chambers experimented with this in the 2022/23 season which is probably why she ended up joint top-goalscorer with four for the season.

Norway
Amalie Eikeland picked up the Manager’s Player and Player’s Player for the 2022/23 season and she’ll be headed to Australia with The Grasshoppers.

Diane Caldwell has been a stalwart of the Irish team, if not a little out of favour recently, but she’s back named and head to New Zealand with The Girls in Green.

Grace Moloney signed a senior contract with Reading in 2009 and bar a short spell at Aston Villa has been there ever since. She’s made sparing appearances for The Girls in Green but remains at the core of selection.
