Emile Acquah will head off to England C duty having given Paul Fairclough a selection headache after the Maidenhead United striker scored a brace for his side on Saturday.
Acquah – who is vying with Wrexham’s Sam Dalby and Notts County’s Macauley Langstaff for a starting spot – scored both the Magpies goals as Maidenhead beat Maidstone United at York Road.
The striker was announced as part of the 16-man squad at the end of last week having originally made the long list.
💬 “I’ve been working hard. I’m really excited and ready to go (on England C call-up)”
