The draw for the 2022/23 FA Trophy Fifth Round was made on Monday afternoon live on TalksSport 2 with some enticing ties for the three remaining Berkshire sides.

Bracknell Town fans will certainly be delighted with another big day at Bottom Meadow to come after the Robins drew non-league royalty in Vanarama National League Altrincham. Bracknell reached the Fifth Round thanks to a sensation injury-time winner from Jack Dean – earning a fourth National League scalp against Bath City.

Maidenhead United also have a home draw following their comfortable 2-0 win at Dagenham & Redbridge, they will face the winners of Harrow Borough or Halifax Town while Hungerford Town’s reward for a 2-1 win at home to Tamworth is a home tie with National League North strugglers Farsley Celtic.

Bristol Rovers loanee Ryan Jones got the winner for the Crusaders on Saturday after Christie Ward had opened the scoring.

Football in Berkshire verdict on the draw

Having all three ties in the Royal County is obviously a bonus. Hungerford and Maidenhead will certainly feel like they can progress in the competition and you’d be mad to bet against Carl Withers and Jamie McClurg picking up another higher division scalp. They’ve been doing it all season.
