Southern Region Women’s Football League 2022/23 constitution

The full constitution for the 2022/23 Southern Region Women’s Football League has been released. The league consists of three divisions with a newly added North Division to bring the Berks & Bucks Tier Five and Six in line with the rest of the women’s league pyramids across the country.

A total of 25 teams will compete this season when the league returns on Sunday 4th of September with Berkshire laying claim to four senior teams across the county in Ascot United, Caversham United, Eversley & California and Woodley United.

Premier Division (Tier 5)

Whilst not all Berkshire teams, there are some points of note with the latest constitution regarding movement. AFC Bournemouth Development and Southampton Development have both moved to the Women’s National League Reserves Division, whilst Moneyfields have been promoted to Division One South West to join our Berkshire side Maidenhead United at Tier Four. Bournemouth Sports have been promoted from Division One to the Premier. Woodley United opted to be relegated from the Premier Division to Division One. And finally, Caversham United are our solo Berkshire side promoted from Division One of the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League to Division One North.
