Former Slough Town and Maidenhead United has another promotion on his CV following Farnborough’s promotion to the Vanarama National League South.

Nisbet was allowed to leave Slough in March and dropped a level to join the Cherries Southern League play-off push.

Mitchell Parker and CJ Fearn got the goals on Tuesday night as Boro won the play-off semi final 2-1 against Met Police and Reggie Young and Sam Deering got the goals on Saturday as they beat Hayes & Yeading United by the same margin.

Nisbet, joined in the Farnborough squad by former Slough players Paul Hodges and Jack Turner, played 90 minutes in both games but another former Rebels team mate Francis Amartey saw red for Hayes after 50 minutes.

Writing on the Rebel’s official website at the time of Nisbet’s departure, co-manager Jon Underwood said: “We’ve had some very honest conversations with Nis in recent weeks about his future with the club, where we saw him now and with next season in mind, and although we did not want him to leave at this moment he is a non-contract player and was free to make that decision.”

Farnborough will return to the National League South for the first time since their relegation in 2015.
