A single tweet by a member club, yes. Speculation on our part, absolutely. Can you forgive us for being excited and reporting on even the faintest glimmer we might see some football within the Uhlsport Hellenic League footprint before this season is over?
We hope so.
Division One East side Milton United have tweeted that a Champions League style format could be coming to the playing fields of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire: “Positive news coming from the Hellenic League this morning with a Champions League style cup competition coming in April/May! Looks like we might get some football after all.”

The equivalent step 5/6 league, the Combined Counties League have already confirmed they are looking at resuming some form of organised football and this is the first glimmer we have seen from the Hellenic.
As we say, pure speculation, we are perhaps fanning the flames and we really should wait for official confirmation from the Hellenic League.
But we’re excited!
UPDATE Our friends at Severn Sport have more on the proposal: “In correspondence released to the member clubs by the league they admit that with competitive matches not due to resume until 12th April at the earliest, it was very unlikely they would be able to complete the current cup competitions within the league as they had already been started.
“So the league have proposed two cup competitions, with one for Premier and Division One clubs and a second cup for the Division Two teams.”
