Bracknell Town head in to arguably their toughest BetVictor Isthmian League South Central fixture of the season so far on Wednesday night (ko 7.45pm).
The Robins face Westfield at Larges Lane with the visitors starting the season strongly after disappointment in the play offs last season.
Bracknell manager Sam Lock was himself in confident mood when Football in Berkshire spoke to him, saying: “We are at home. We respect them but they should be worried about us.”
Westfield have played five times in the league this season, winning four and drawing one of those ties. The Surrey sides last two fixtures were an 8-0 win over FC Romania in the Velocity Trophy and a 9-1 thrashing of Hertford Town in the league.
“We are almost there now.”
Lock offered and update on the Robins injury list saying: “We still have no Nathan Minhas (pictured top), Dan Brown, James Mulley, Dan Price, Kai Walters or long term casualty Lee Barney.
He added: “Minhas, Mulley and Brown should be back available for Saturday. So we are almost there now.”.
The Bracknell boss also confirmed the club should have a new player in the ranks tonight. Lock wouldn’t reveal a name but said: “As long as we getting the paperwork done in time we should have an exciting attacking player coming on board tonight. The boy wants to be playing higher but I have a great relationship with him so we will take it one game at a time.”
