Could you cover the Thames Valley Premier League for us?

Were looking for a TVPL correspondent

Football in Berkshire is looking to increase its coverage of the Thames Valley Premier League next season, but we need a willing volunteer to join our team.

FiB is a volunteer run, non profit website that aims simply to increase the interest in the non league and grassroots game around Berkshire.

In the first instance, we are looking for someone to compile a round up once a week on the action that took place in the Premier Division and pick out key clashes from the lower divisions.

No experience necessary

We aren’t looking for the next JK Rowling, we just need someone with a good grasp of spelling and grammar (we aren’t perfect either before anyone emails in all our mistakes!) and passion for non league football.

We can show you how to use our writing platform and will provide any training and support you may require.

All we ask in the first instance that you can commit to a minimum one article a week (you can of course do more if you like) with the caveat that of course you have holidays, other commitments and hangovers!

Testimonial

Last summer, we advertised for someone to help with our step 6 (Hellenic League Division One East and Combined Counties League Division One) coverage and we welcomed on board Rob Davies.

I asked Rob to write a few words on the experience. He said: “This has been my first season writing for Football in Berkshire and I have really enjoyed the experience. It has been really good to gain a greater knowledge of local football whilst going to games and meeting some of the people involved.

“Before joining FiB I had no experience of published writing so it has been gratifying to develop a new skill and try something new whilst becoming part of a local community. The support from Tom and the rest of the team has made the process fun filled and pressure free.”
