Aaron Steadman names County under 18 squad for Cumberland cup tie

A host of local youngsters have been named by Aaron Steadman for the Berks & Bucks FA County under 18 rep side’s visit of Cumberland to Berkshire at the weekend in the FA Counties Youth Cup.

There are representatives from Binfield, Ascot United, Wokingham & Emmbrook, Windsor and Binfield in the squad which is aiming to make it to the Quarter Finals after beating Devon at Slough Town’s Arbour Park in the previous round.

The squad includes James Richardson who reached the final 20 for the English Schoolboys side this season and goalkeeper Sonny Wheeler who has spent time on trial with Premier League clubs.

The 16 named are: Sonny Wheeler, Malachi Caeser (both John Madejski Academy), Robbie Veasey, James Richardson, Harrison Cliff (all Ascot United), Lewis Pegg, Luke Wayborn, Lewis Boniface, Brad Farren (all Maidenhead United), Ben Mulley (Cox Green Academy), Brad Birchmore (Camberley), Alfi Touceda (Aylesbury), Josh Harris (Wokingham & Emmbrook/Binfield), Connor Holland (Bracknell Town/Wokingham & Emmbrook), Jack Hall (Windsor), Eddie Lee (Binfield).

Steadman’s young side are in action on Sunday afternoon, again at Arbour Park with the winners facing a trip to the Manchester FA in late January.
