A young Binfield goalkeeper has spent the week on trial at Premier League club AFC Bournemouth.

The trial comes a fortnight after Wheeler spent a a day training with another Premier League side, Watford.

Wheeler has been a Binfield player since the summer after joining from Woodcote in the Thames Valley Premier League and has made eight appearances for the Moles Suburban League reserve side as well as one first team appearance at Hill Farm Lane.

Another product of the JMA Reading performance programme, Wheeler is also registered with Vanarama National League South side Wealdstone and played in the recent Berks & Bucks County FA fixture against Devon alongside Binfield team mate Eddie Lee.

Six JMA graduates were involved recently in the Bostik League South Central Division 1 top of the table clash between Bracknell Town and Marlow. Those players included Liam Ferdinand, Ashleigh Artwell and Kensley Maloney for Bracknell.
