Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division promotion chasers Flackwell Heath have parted company with manager Paul Shone by mutual consent.

Shone is the second manager in the top five to leave his club after Mark Tallentire parted company with Bracknell Town at the end of September.

The now ex-Heathens boss took over from Graham Malcolm at the end of the 2015/16 season and led the club the third place in the league, the same position they occupy currently this season but have only won two of their last eight games and the last three fixtures have all been defeats in three different cup competitions – the League Cup, the County Cup and the FA Vase.

A statement on the Flackwell Heath website reads: “Our 1st team Manager Paul Shone has left Flackwell Heath FC by mutual consent. The club would like to thank Shoney for all his hard work over the past 4 seasons. His efforts during this time have been greatly appreciated by the club.

“We would like to wish him all the very best in the future.

“Following his departure the 1st team affairs will be taken over by Assistant Manager Sean Kelleher and Chairman Terry Glynn until and new manager is appointed.”
