Bracknell Town have reportedly parted company with manager Mark Tallentire.

Tallentire, a former Bracknell Town player was appointed midway through the 2016/17 season replacing Keith Pennicott-Bowen with the Robins in the relegation zone.

The former Binfield manager was able to bring in striker Adam Cornell along with winger Seb Bowerman and it was the former’s goals that largely hauled Bracknell to 14th and safety.

Bracknell hit the ground running the following season and pushed eventual champions Thame United all the way for the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division title, only losing out following a final day defeat to Highworth Town.

Tallentire though ended the Robins two decade trophy drought with a trio of cups heading to Larges Lane – the Reading Senior Cup, Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy and Hellenic League Cup were all won before the season came to a close.

Tallentire leaves Bracknell in third place having only just lost their unbeaten league run to Thatcham Town on Saturday. The Robins are due to find out their first FA Vase opponents of the season at 1pm on Monday.

The club release the following tweet:

Bracknell have published a short statement on the clubs website and confirmed their will be no further comment at this stage.

Bracknell Town Manager, Mark Tallentire, has left the club by mutual agreement.  The club would like to thank Tally for all his work and efforts over the past two years including saving the club from relegation when he took over, winning three cups last season and taking the club to the brink of promotion to the Southern League last season where they were only denied in the last game of the season.

The club wish him all the best for the future, in the meantime Geoff Warner will take charge of team affairs on a caretaker basis for the game against Ascot United on Tuesday evening.
