After Reading City topped the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division table with a convincing 4-0 win over Abingdon United on Monday night it’s the turn of Ascot United and Binfield to play their second fixtures of the 2018/19 campaign.
City looked strong on their first home fixture in front of a crowd of over 200 at Scours Lane, the goals came from Mitchell Parker and Jack Powell in the first half, Moctaru Conte and Parker again sealing the deal in the second.
Binfield boss Roger Herridge confirmed that Danny Horscroft, Jemel Johnson and Charley Tuttle were all in line to return to the squad after missing the opening day win at Ardley United and the Moles make the trip to Wantage Town.
The Freds had to come from 2-0 down on Saturday at Fairford while for Binfield it was relatively one-way traffic in their 4-1 win, both sides are heavily fancied this season so it’ll certainly be one to watch out for.
Speaking of Ardley, they visit Ascot United who play their first home game of the season on Tuesday night at Ascot Racecourse. The Yellamen have quite an intense week with a home FA Cup tie on Friday night against Camberley Town.
Virginia Water make their Premier Division bow when they visit Flackwell Heath while Windsor host Shrivenham at Stag Meadow – both sides looking for a first win after losing their opening day matches.
All Saturday matches kick-off at 3pm, all Sunday matches kick-off at 2pm and all midweek matches kick-off at 7.45pm unless detailed next to the above fixtures. Please always check with the host club before you travel if you are in any doubt.
