Reading FC Women duo earn Northern Ireland call ups

FA Women’s Championship side Reading FC Women have two players in the latest Northern Ireland international squad.

Defender Rachel Dugdale and forward Lauren Wade have both been called up for the UEFA Women’s Euro Nations League play-off against Montenegro at Windsor Park on 27th February.

Dugdale has 24 caps for her national team and has been called up for the first time in three years, while Wade is already passed the 50 cap mark.

Meanwhile, Eve Annets has been called up to the England under-19 lionesses squad. She joins former Royal Hannah Poulter (University of Southern California) and Katie Cox (Chelsea) as the trio of Lioness goalkeepers for the La Nucia tournament in Alicante.

Ex Reading loanee Freya Godfrey is also in the squad for games against France and Norway.
