Vanarama National League South Slough Town were celebrating an individual award for midfielder Johnny Goddard this week.
Goddard – a summer 2022 signing from St Albans City – has hit all the right notes for the Rebels in the last month with four goals in six games across the league and FA Trophy in November.
The former Reading FC professional has played 70 times in a season and a half for Slough, but is currently enjoying his hottest streak in front of goal with eight strikes across October and November, none more crucial than the three FA Cup goals that smoothed the way to the First Round Proper clash with Grimsby Town.

In further Rebels news, Academy star Ollie Spicer has progressed through England Schoolboy trials to be one of 18 players selected for the 23/24 squad.
A statement on the English Schools FA website said: “Competitive fixtures will come in the form of the SAFIB Centenary Shield, which is played from February until April 2024. The home nations and the Republic of Ireland will compete for the prestigious Centenary Shield, with this season’s England team hoping to retain the shield which was shared with Northern Ireland in 22/23.”
