Thames Valley Premier League side Windsor & Eton have set a ‘weird’ kick off time for their next home fixture – all in the name of getting people talking.

It’s certainly working across social media with supporters and interested parties asking ‘why 2:32?’

As supporter Michael Gegg explains, the kick off time has an ulterior motive: “Next Tuesday is World Mental Health Day. Throughout the day we are going to be sharing various videos and bits from the WEFC social media accounts and for our next fixture (at home on the 14th) we’re going to kick off at 2.32pm rather than 2.30pm. As the sides come out we want you to supporters to turn to the nearest person qnd ask a simple question ‘How are you?’

We’ve already had a ton of people message saying ‘you’ve made a mistake on the graphic, just saying in case you want to change’, that’s hopefully the first part of the underlying message, getting people to talk!”

The home game against Kennington Athletic on the 14th October will also be ‘Bring a Friend’ day which the club will be promoting.

Is anyone else making a similar gesture? Football in Berkshire would love to promote your game.
