Slough Town’s new ownership confirmed

The Rebels takeover is complete

Vanarama National League South Slough Town are officially under new ownership, the club has confirmed.

In the works for a number of months, the club’s trio of new owners under the A23 Football Group banner are Ashley Smith, Simon Doyle and Tristan Heywood.

A statement on the club website said: “The directors of Slough Town Football Club are delighted to confirm that the Football Association and the National League have provided formal approval of the change of ownership, and therefore we can officially announce A23 Football Group Limited as the new majority owners of the club.

“The A23 Football Group has several successful businesses that operate in the football and education sectors. Its directors are Ashley Smith and Simon Doyle, who will soon be joined by Tristan Heywood.”

On the pitch, Scott Davies remains in his Player / Manager role as the Rebels prepare for another Vanarama National League South campaign.
