There will be some familiar faces in the dugout on Tuesday, albeit not who you might expect following the shock resignation of Neil Baker and Jon Underwood from their management roles at Slough Town.

The Rebels hierarchy have confirmed that a trio of Manny Williams, Lee Togwell and Scott Davies will take charge of the Berks & Bucks FA Senior Cup tie at Maidenhead United.

Williams has management experience already having been in the dugout for Burnham last season and he’ll be joined by club captain Davies and experienced defender Togwell.

statement on the Slough Town website said: “This evening, during a meeting with the club’s board of directors, Jon Underwood and Neil Baker informed the board of their intention to resign as joint first team managers of Slough Town Football Club with immediate effect.

“Naturally we are extremely disappointed at the news, which brings to an end Jon and Neil’s nine-and-a-half year tenure as joint managers since arriving in May 2013.”

On social media, it has also been confirmed Goalkeeper Coach Trent Phillips has departed the club after joining in 2013.
