Isthmian League side Bracknell Town have been awarded the points following the abandonment of their South Central Division One tie with Chertsey Town in October.

The match was abandoned with 83 minutes on the clock and Bracknell leading 3-0. Chertsey manager Kevin Maclaren subsequently left the club and was replaced by former Arsenal midfielder Ian Selley.

Bracknell boss Bobby Wilkinson revealed the news through the club’s Twitter account: “Following the abandonment of our game away at Chertsey Town back in October, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve been informed the result stands and we have received the 3 points. Thanks again to our fans for their continued support.”

Wilkinson also revealed in Football in Berkshire’s big match preview that goalkeeper Michael Eacott was expected to return.
