Vanarama National League South side Slough Town have made captured their two key priorities according to joint-manager Jon Underwood in an interview with the Rebels website.
The Slough boss was talking about the clubs pre season preparations and specifically new signings Ryan Bird and Max Worsfold in an audio interview.
Underwood, along with Neil Baker led the Rebels to an impressive 11th place finish in their first season back at step 2 since 2000/01 as well as a second consecutive run to the FA Cup Second Round where they were beaten by EFL League Two Gillingham.

In the interview, Underwood spoke about the players who had moved on in Louis Soares to Hampton & Richmond Borough and Nathan Smart and why, keeping the squad tight with 17 or 18 players and specifically about the two signings from Maidenhead, Bird and Worsfold.
The Rebels boss said he and Baker were looking for a different option up front and a more naturally left footed player to allow the side to be a bit more flexible in play.
They were our top priorities the pair of them, they were the two we wanted to get done and we sat down with them as soon as we could at the end of the season

He said: “Max and Ryan Bird tick the boxes for us. I think the important thing for them as characters, as lads we know they will fit in immediately to the changing room with the sorts of players we’ve got here. They already know some of our lads and are both pretty local.”
Underwood added: “He [Bird] had a frustrating year last year, as Max did, they both had a frustrating time at Maidenhead [United] but they are both fully fit and wanting to put that behind them and have a positive season this time around.
“They were our top priorities the pair of them, they were the two we wanted to get done and we sat down with them as soon as we could at the end of the season.”
Speaking to Football in Berkshire, Underwood confirmed that Bracknell Football Awards Player of the Season Dan Roberts was included in the Rebels squad of 17 having impressed on dual registration from Windsor last season.
Roberts won man of the match on his first start for Slough in March against Hemel Hempstead Town, but was sent off in the final game of the season for Windsor during the Bluefin Sport Challenge Cup Final defeat to Ascot United.
