Berks County star Shaquille Johnson has departed the Racecourse Ground to take on a title challenge in the Combined Counties League Premier Division South.
It is always a crazy to suggest title favourites in non-league football in June, but CCL South side Fleet Town are building a formidable looking squad and former Windsor & Eton youngster Johnson is the latest addition.
A statement from the Hampshire club said: “We are delighted to welcome exciting young winger Shaq Johnson to Fleet Town FC.
“Shaq arrives after an outstanding season with Berks County, where he scored an incredible 28 goals in 46 appearances, having previously featured for Windsor & Eton.
“Quick, direct and always looking to make things happen in the final third, Shaq is an attacking player we’re sure the Fleet faithful will love watching this season.”

Johnson – the brother of FA Vase winner Jemel Johnson – played 46 times for Berks County last season in the CCL Division One, scoring 28 goals.
He joins Curtis Angell, Ben Cook, Liam Gavin, Connor Holland and Elliott Legg as new and familiar faces to Berkshire football watchers under Jamie McClurg at Calthorpe Park.
