Binfield are up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Match Day Experience sponsored by Rural Pie Co.
The Isthmian League Moles have focused on improving the ground over the last few seasons, with a fully modernised tea bar offering at matches.
Funding, developing and free stuff: How your club can realise its opportunities
The nomination we received for the award said: “Binfield FC is the heart of Binfield village. The 1st team pitch often resembles Wembley on a Friday night ahead of a Saturday home game. The pride that goes into upkeeping it is second to none.
“The other two pitches are also immaculate and see many a junior game played each week.
“Hill Farm Lane on a Saturday home game is heartwarming. Junior mascots walk down with the 1st team players onto the big pitch and get to play on there at half time. Often the players dont realise but to those little people they are so insipirational! So many of the juniors aspire to play on that pitch one day.
“The kitchen is always busy and serves great matchday food! They even have specials like the Easter lamb baguette that made it on Footyscrans.
“All of the volunteers always have a smile on their face and take pride in being part of such a special community.
“Binfield FC should win this award as it is the beating heart of our village”
