Bracknell Town’s Rob Hayward is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Volunteer of the Season – Junior Club sponsored by TeamFeePay.
Manager of Bracknell Town’s under 14 Blues, Rob it seems has gone above and beyond this season, despite difficult personal circumstances.
One nomination for the award said: “Rob puts in all the time and effort for young footballers. His dedication is second to none. Even through family adversaries and lost of his child Rob was still there to help and aid the children. I have no hesitation given him this nomination.”
Another added: “Rob has been amazing with the team and my son especially when he’s been going through such a hard time in his life. He goes above and beyond for the team and is honest and respectful. My son loves playing for this team.”
A third said: “His Bracknell Town u14 team won the top division title in the Junior Premier league.
It was their debut season. His wife went into early labour at just 22 weeks and he continued to coach and turn up for the boys. He lost one of his twin boys at just 9 days old and he continued to turn up.”
