Caversham United Women will head to Didcot Town in the Berks & Bucks Trophy semi-final on Sunday 15th of Feb with the team are are no stranger to a cup final having narrowly missed out on silverware back in the 2021/22 season when they faced Penn & Tyler’s Green in the same competition.
With the hope of making another final for the first time in four years, we spoke to their club Chairman Paul Gutteridge, ahead of the tie and he had this to say:
“Reaching the County Cup final would be an important step forward, after relegation from Tier 6 last season. With no intention of going straight back up this season (bigger picture – watch this space), silverware was top of our to do list.”
But the Berks & Bucks Trophy isn’t the only silverware the Goats could potentially get their hands on for the 2025/26 season as he points out:
“To be in the county cup semi final, as well as the league cup quarter finals still, gives real hope for achieving our aim and sets up an exciting few weeks!”
Best of luck to the squad as they travel to Didcot Town. The final is due to be played at Penn & Tyler’s Green on Sunday 22nd of March.
